Kate Hide
Business & Content Manager
Born in London and raised in north Norfolk, Kate Hide read Film Studies and Art Design History at university in London. After working at the 43rd London Film Festival, she joined the Production Department at the British Film Institute. Here, she saw projects through from their development to release, visiting sets, liaising with writers, directors and producers and earning credits on the way.
In 2000, she moved to the UK Film Council. As part of the Business Affairs team, Kate became expert at fast-tracking funds, navigating the bureaucracy to help producers get their projects underway as quickly as possible. Her efforts were rewarded by credits on several UKFC-funded titles, including Ian Drury biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.
Kate joined the Broadcast, Home Entertainment and Theatrical Media division of HanWay in June 2010. Her role includes supporting Mark and Fabien on sales, with particular focus on collecting royalties.
In a previous incarnation, she organised events for top chef Anton Mosimann. She is also a dedicated Company Member of the Phoenix Cinema Trust, the first purpose-built cinema in the UK.
