Specialty division makes a a raft of sales

HanWay Selects, the specialty film division of HanWay Films, has concluded key territory deals on its slate of upscale docus.

Music Box snapped up domestic rights for Mark Cousins’ “The Story of Film: An Odyssey.” Docu, which provides a worldwide tour of great movies, was also picked up for Switzerland (Praesens Film), Hong Kong (Edko Films), Czech Republic (Film Europe), Mexico (Canal22), Sweden (SVT), Finland (YLE) and Norway (NRK).

“Woody Allen: A Documentary,” which screens in Cannes Classics, sold to France (Memento), Spain (Versus), U.K. (Soda Pictures), Switzerland (Agora), Russia (Yota Play), Latin America (PolarStar) and Japan (Cinema Rise). Pic will unspool May 30 in Gaul, followed by June 8 in the U.K. and July 5 in Germany.

“Roman Polanski: A Film Memoir,” unspooling in official selection special screenings, sold to Australia (Shock), Hong Kong (Edko) and Latin America (PolarStar). Pathe is releasing in France, Lucky Red in Italy and Studio Babelsberg in Germany.

“Anton Corbijn: Inside Out,” has sold to Australia (Shock) and Hong Kong (Edko).

HanWay is also shopping Jude Law starrer “Dom Hemingway.”
