Master Japanese filmmaker Takashi Miike (13 Assassins, Audition, Ichi The Killer, One Missed Call) has created the first 3D film to show In Competition at Cannes.
A tale of revenge, honour and disgrace centering on a samurai warrior (leading Kabuki star Ebizo Ichikawa), who seeks entry to the estate of a feudal lord (Koji Yakusho) to discover the tragic fate of his ronin son-in-law (played by Eita), setting in motion a tense showdown of vengeance.
