Hanway Drama

Cast: Neve Campbell, James Franco, Malcolm McDowell, Joffrey Ballet of Chicago
Robert Altman opens a window on the vivid world of the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago, during which some careers are born, others die, romance glows, egos are battered and bruised, and everything depends on the most fragile of instruments, the human body.
Drawing from her experience of studying dance before turning to acting, Neve Campbell (WILD THINGS, SCREAM) gives the performance of her career, as gifted dancer Ry. James Franco (127 HOURS, SPIDER-MAN, MILK) plays the young chef who becomes her lover and Malcolm McDowell is hilarious as the company’s self-absorbed artistic director.
“[Robert Altman’s] skill as a filmmaker has rarely been more spectacularly in evidence”, says the New York Times, Time Out described it “as one of the very best films of his career”.
